So i have a questian, at what rpm do you rev your engine for most apropiate horsepower output to your wheels when drag racing, or just beeting the punk next to you with his wanna be V -tech engine?

haha blew the doors off some "gangster" ass caprice today.... but we were doing 45, so I shifted to 3rd, to get my rpm's about.... 3-5k, and then just hauled ass past him... We were in a 45, I was doing 45, and he sped up next to me, and tried to pass me... and then I left him in the dust.

Great way to show off to my brother too haha. It was his first time riding in it.

by the way, a 3rd gear pull at 45mph would suck ass, thats no where near the power band of our cars...

2nd goes up to 54 ish so yeah not in the power

 

I know.... I started out about 45.... and then floored the pedal, and passed him and got it up to 75-80ish

but before that, I was just rolling along in 6th, so I threw it in 3rd, cause I didn't want to jump the engine up to about 5-6k rpms, from 2-3ish.
