registered +1....apparently the fontana block of rooms are sold out????? I guess I have to seek alternative measures.....if I remember correctly - there is a rather large pagoda I can make utilize to make a sweet fort in lieu of an actual room; and I'm sure I can bathe in the pool or one of the near by waterfalls.

looks like i wont have to built a fort (but still may elect to do so) i booked a cabin for thursday - saturday. as an FYI they do have one king room left and another room with i believe two fulls?

also a couple cabins left.

I may bring some friends now that I have the cabin..... I know this is an s2k "only" event....but, I don't like that rule.

plus - I figure knowing Garrison I do not have to follow any rules, right?

Glad to see you joining in again this year, Casey!!

As far as the non-S2000 folks, from my understand (and this is what I did the year with my MINI, too) it's not really an issue provided they formally register as drivers like the rest of us.

No guarantees that knowing me will get you out of any problems with the organizers.

Thank Garrison! I'm excited to get back down there. I understand on the registration - and that is fair. I registered my formal guest, and if I do bring anyone, I will make sure they register by the required date.

and even if knowing you doesn't get me out of something.....I will try it at least once!

Seems like the organizers may be a little stringent on not allowing non s2k folk, but when brought up by Paul that it hasn't stopped various cars in the last from joining it was a "they had s2k at one time" response.

Im not looking to piss anyone off, But I know the bunny and I'm bringing some muscle from the umw lol. S2k- great. Car enthusiasts - also great.

I noticed that when you posted in the thread. It hasn't been an issue with Raul (airgate) in years past, provided they had attended a Dragon event before in an S2000. Ken is running the event now and seems to be changing the rules.

If you want a clear answer, I'd pm airgate.

I'm curious what the expectation is too. Last year I met a Corvette guy who was real cool, and he was there after reading about the place on S2Ki. One thing he said, is that he was trying not to ruin "our" event. I was shocked, and thought, damn, you're a car guy, and you made the trip down here, join the forums, register, and join the fun.

If it's going to turn into an elitist pissing match, this may be my last for a while. We'll see what happens in the next couple of days.
