Just tell them to cover their cars' badging with painters tape and write the "H" logo and "S2000" over them accordingly. That's why I did with my MIN... er... Honda S2000 that I took my first year.

Sounds like a good deal. No worries with the attendance.

5 years or so ago when I got my s2k - it was a different price point - i was a young punk kid driving a 25k car.... and at that time, i think s2ki had an air of......... elitness to it?

I wasn't into it then, and I'm surely not into it now.... s2ks are dirt cheap, there are more options available to the public, and its all be done by now..... I understand not wanting to "ruin" an S2000 driven event, but when there are +150 s2k that show up, whats a couple other cars going to hurt? as said above, if they made the trip, regardless of their car, they are obviously enthusiasts...and isnt that what we collectively have in common?

I've gone on many 300zx cruises, suby cruises, etc etc and not once has anyone given me a hint of attitude when i was at THEIR event... i can only hope that we as a community can also say the same. ( i know here in UMW we can IE: Pete Mr. Vette, Garrison Mr.Mini, Andy with his car club etc etc etc etc...)

end of rant. If my peeps come they come. They can sit their ass out of the s2k roll out lol. I'm hoping to get my buddy to take his race car down to the dragon....+600whp 300zx....

I'm happy to read this, as this is how it should be. As previously posted, you never know, one of these other car owners may trade in for an S.

Ok so I guess I was one of those against people with other cars coming... My biggest reason is the growth of this event. The event is growing so fast, with so many s2000s now coming. There were 139 s2000s last year, 240 people. If every s2000, or even a small amount of the s2000 owners, invited their friends... Our event would be just too massive to even manage, or have a place to sleep. If one person is allowed, all are, so it could be one person starting the phase.

It's honestly nothing against other cars from me, I love ALL cars. In the summer my neck is made of rubber looking at every car on the road.

You should check previous years, the last few years are nothing compared to 07.

Never alienate the enthusiasts, sure certain things will be S2000 only, but without the past owners and future owners, what are you left with?

100%

At the end of the day, I care about hanging out with friends / fellow car enthusiasts / people, not the cars.
