My insurance covers the cost of the replacement except for the $100 deductable. The dealership recommends Safelite, and my insurance recommends Techna Glass. I have yet to call and ask, but I know quite a few companies will waive the $100 deductable. Do any of you have any experiences with any of these places, or any other place. I don't want a cheap ass windshield that'll break in a year, and I don't want 50 free meals to some crappy "mexican" resaurant.

I just had the windshield replaced on my Tundra and I took it to Techna Glass on 9000 S. and just west of I-15 and had no problems. Sorry to hear about the windshield, get it fixed quick.

We've done very well with Safelite on State in Murray - they've done a WRX and Miata for us. Techna managed to take a tiny chip and spread it across the entire windshield.

Does the windshield have the black boarder on the glass that the oem one does?

Well I got it replaced by Safelite. They waived my $100 insurance deductable so it cost me $0. They did a great job and the glass looks just like oem.

I just noticed I have a chip, hopefully I can get it fixed quick so it doesn't become a big problem.
