Autocross at RMR
I went to the midnight drags last weekend at Rocky Mountain Raceway, and they had an auto-x course set up using part of the oval and the center part of it. It was tight and small, but seems like fun. My mom's, fiance's, business partner was running it, so I may set up the cones next time, which in turn means that I will be able to cut in front of anyone when I want to race, he he he. Anyway, it's not SCCA, but I think it'd be fun to try. The next race is a week from Friday. I like this idea, because I usually can't spend an entire Sunday racing.
I heard it was fun, but that the course was pretty tight and slow.
There are SCCA races this weekend on Sat, Sun, and Mon. The Sat event is at Copper Hills Highschool and Sun and Mon are at the E-Center.
There were 3 S2Ks at last Sun's SCCA event at the State Fair Park. It would be great to see a LOT more S2Ks this weekend. The events are pretty low key with lots of support for new drivers including people willing to ride along and help you out with the course.
Details are available at the http://www.utahscca.com.
Mendii and Foocat ... are you coming out for any of the events this weekend?

Definitely won't be racing in any of the events this weekend. I've got yard work planned for most of the weekend. If I have some time on Monday, I may come out and watch some runs. I had fun auto crossing (even though I couldn't follow the course) and I will definitely make it out again before the season ends. The RMR auto cross sounds appealing since it's held at night and doesn't take up the whole day.

If you get any more information on the details for the up coming auto cross at RMR, please post it. Did you see any S2000's run the 1/4 mile last weekend?

FOO CAT- I didn't watch any of the drags, I was too interested in the auto-x. It looks like I will be helping set up the course next time out. It is tight and slow, but it builds some good driving skills if you can master that course. You should come out and at least watch. It starts at 11 PM and runs until 2 AM. I think it's a week from Friday. I'll double check on it though.
MSM- I can't make the Saturday or Sunday races, but am going to try for the Monday race.
