Thumbs up BOOST CONTROLLERS?

I am in the market right now for either a vtec controller. I plan on getting the AEM EMS but not til next year. I figured i would just find either a used VAFC or get the BUDDY CLUB vtec controller for like $58. Has anyone delt with these or done any research?

Can I ask why your getting one? From what I have read and gathered no one see's any real gains by lowering V-tec on the F20, but alot of people have seen loss's. The only people I have seen get gains are FI applications and Heavy modified N/A apps. But even then the evidence is not overwhelmingly convincing. Your call.

i have just heard that by getting the vtec controller, you can lower your vtec point and receive a few extra ponies. wrong?? i don't know, thats why i posted this on the board and didn't go out and buy it yet.

My suggestion is to save your pennies. The car is so well done from the factory the small one off items are IMO not worth the money.

Invest in a track or auto-x weekend ... or if you just HAVE to spend some money on something for the car, get a final drive gear replacement. You'll notice far more from that than from lowering VTEC.

I had a V-AFC on my car for two weeks. It provided hardly any gain and VTEC was only lowered to 5800 RPM and anything below that you lose power.

I'm with mike,

If you gotta dump money into your car change out your gearing.
