Again, nice pics and video! It was a good weekend on the track -- I only wish I could have stayed for the afternoon sessions on Sunday. I've never seen so much clear track. It must have felt totally empty with only three cars left out there.

I'm looking forward to more events with more S2ks in August and September. Imagine having 5 or 6 of us out there for one of those sessions -- good fun!

Your guess on time seems about right. I don't have the sheet with me, but I think I was getting into the low 1:55 range. Your tape job may look over the top, but I completely understand. If the previous owner of my car hadn't done a clear bra, I might be more concerned. The amount of rubber and gravel flying around can be pretty amazing. It takes me a long time to clean off all the mess after a track day. Without protection, the paint would definitely suffer.

I wish I could make the next Lap Battle, but it's Monterey week, so I'll be there instead. I will try and make the Lapping Days event -- it provides almost too much track time, but it's well worth the money. In the meantime, I need to get on exhaust and brakes...Hope to see you next month.

I am thinking about the doing the one on the 22nd. Do I need a helmet? I am still going to be getting used to driving my car, since I bought it when I was deployed. Can you have passengers ride with you?

Yes, you will need an SA2000 or newer helmet to get on the track. You can probably rent one from Miller if you need to, and no passanger are allowed on the track unless it's an instructor.

You don't need a helmet, there are loaners, but if you plan on going to any event (Autocross or track days) more than just the one single time, I would just go get your own. No passengers unless you are an instructor or they are. But with the SCCA you'll have an instructor since it'll be your first time, so no worries

Getting ready for the track this season! I probably won't be able to track TOO much this year, but I hope to come out and have a little bit of fun. Received my new tires the other day! I'm excited =P.
