new bilsteins installed!
So I just finished installing my new bilsteins. Took about 5 hours. If i had air tools it would have taken maybe 2. Allready I can tell the ride is much more settled and I haven't even done the alignment yet.
I ordered them from tirerack and it too 2 business days to get them. They are a powder blue and silver, in my opinion they are some of the best looking coilovers out there. Can't wait to take them out with you guys!
Ps the rear drivers side is a joke. Way tight space.

nice--congrats!!
that's the suspension kit i'd probably buy if i had money to spend on one. i'll want a supercharger first though, and that's going to be a long while...
but let us (or at least me
) know how you like it after you've had it a few months--everybody on the boards seems to like the ride and performance of the PSS9s for a DD car that sees occasional track use--but i'm curious if it's a royal PITA being an inch lower going over the dips in the road here. (i assume you went an inch lower anyway)
Speaking of toys, i just got a fujita CAI in the mail today! when it warms up a bit i'll install it and show it to everybody. i love new toys

Great job! Welcome to the rear driver side sucks club
. Drive the car around a bit to let it settle before you get it aligned. Big-O in South Ogden has a modern Hunter alignment machine if you want an alignment shop reference.

how do you post pics?

Yeah, I guess I really don't know.
I have never really had an issue driving mine lower around town.
Thanks for the alignment shop reference. I live in Roy so that will be perfect. The suspension has settled a little bit and everything still looks fairly level but I'm going to have the car corner balanced here pretty soon then go get it aligned. So far the car feels much better than stock. The car stays glued to the road better and higher speed lane changes and curves feel much more solid. I had the car set at 2 for a little and now its at 4. Subtle changes between the 2 not really enough for me to notice a difference.
So far, I would overall recommend these. It was a tough choice between the KW V3 and the Bilsteins. My final decision came down to the fact that my car will probably never see enough track time to tune the KW to my liking and to justify the 700 dollar price difference. Besides, I can always sell and upgrade.
As far as driving around lower... lets just say I'm glad this is not my DD. It scrapes quite a bit more than stock height. Its avoidable if you are careful. Don't expect to not scrape though.
FYI... Bilstein makes the shocks for the SLR Mclaren and other various top of the line vehicles. They also manufacture Amuse's dampers. So quality from them I would expect to be top notch.
P.S. I just got my competition 9lb flywheel and Go Pro Hero Cam.
