New S2000 Owner
I am the owner of a black 2002 S2000 as of June 21, 2002. This past Friday, I parked in the Staples parking lot in Ogden at Riverdale Road. After I got into the car, I was furious when I saw that someone had touched 'my baby' and left what I thought was a sales flyer. Fortunately, I read the note and it had the website address for S2000 International. Well, that turned the grimace into a smile. THANK YOU to whoever left the note! Already, I can't wait to read the posts addressing the 'swirl paint' issue. Besides the front and rear spoilers and the side strakes, the only accessory I've added is personalized license plates: CIAO XO pronounced 'chow' which means hello and/or goodbye in Italian, which I am of Italian descent, and that is followed with a kiss X and a hug O. I know, it's a girl thing. Besides, my husband gave it to me for an anniversary gift and he said it is 'mine'. (oh sure) I had never heard of the car before (I am old!) but he assured me that this was the car for me. I adore my little car. Thank you again to the mystery person who left the note! Vicky
Welcome to the club! I was the one who left the note on your car. I saw it parked out there and had to stop. Your S2k looked gorgeous
We are trying to arrange a group drive this Sunday (9/22) up to Park City. If you would like to come along here are all the details.

Welcome aboard Ciao! Matt is always doing (or at least helping...thanks Matt
do things to peoples cars....Matt helped me clear my headlights...an 8 hour tedious job!!!!
I am a Forum Moderator and moderate the Utah Community as well as S2000 Talk. I have been with this board since it's humble beginnings. You will find more information here then you have ever fathomed! I am located in South Ogden (by the Athletic Club) and Matt is in Ogden. Both of us are heavily involved in modding the car. Euclid and others can also be helpful and are great weekend driving buddies. Matt's flyer will be perhaps the greatest piece of paper someone ever deposited, will deposit, on your prized possession. I am a paint fanatic and can resolve any swirl issues you may have..........
Love to join you guys this weekend but I've commited my time to the Silverstate Classic Challenge....as an Emergency Medical Technician. Previous open highway speed record is 207 MPH. Last weekend in the "tuning race" someone averaged 219MPH. This Sunday could be very interesting!!!
I'll be leaving Ogden at about 6AM on Saturday morning. If anyone wants to fry in the desert for a day....drink lots of beer (or water). I have a room at the Copper Queen in Ely Saturday and Sunday night (PM me). Bring a sleeeping bag.
Utah
P.S. I can't even begin to explain what this event is like. In the middle of flippin nowhere in a little town park you will see several million dollars worth of highly modified high end cars. The next morning they will pass you at WOT....life is good. Sorry I won't make Park City (LOL).

Thank you all for the warm welcome to the club. We won't be able to make the scheduled ride on Sunday but would like to be included when future trips are planned. We are anxious to meet you and see your cars. Somehow, I forsee various car modifications for future birthday gifts instead of diamonds! lol My husbands' first reaction to the club was 'Great! I want to find out about the exhaust system.' Hmmm ... this is going to be very dangerous. By the way, my husband has been in the tire business for 30 yrs and is knowledgable about applications for our cars. Thank you again for including us. Vicky & Dick
