Default Spring is in the air....

So last weekend I cut the pipes of my '01 and installed '02 ovals. I love the look and disagree with those it " looks low" here on this site. Old and new both hang 1.5" below the cutout and are the same overall diameter. I love the look! I can only guess the comment is an illusion as the AP1 lower bumper is black and the AP2 is body color. The mod also looks poor if you don't cut the stock pipe behind the muffler.

This weekend I took on replacing the soft top. I went with the Robbins with glass rear window (replacing plastic '01). Interior is out and old top is completely out. If you have researched replacing yours you will know where I am at. I would have finished this weekend but will not; for lack of wearing my Mechanix Gloves. Sliced a finger when a plastic fastener let loose when being pulled out. I'll complete the top next weekend.

Each winter I gather parts for "Electra" and when it warms up do my spring installs.

Anyone else out there hoarding winter parts?

Who' s doing what?

Utah

P.S. Remember to where your gloves. I know better and was between tasks.........

Awesome Utah! I agree, I like the look of the ovals on the earlier models.

I must say I don't envy you on the soft top job... That is a project on my "I hope I never have to do that" list (that and the clutch). I plan on keeping the car long enough that I'll most certainly run into them though.

I haven't done any work on the S yet, but here is the list for late spring/early summer additions:

1) OEM Front Lip
2) Alpine Head Unit with Modifry Harness
3) I'm also working on a custom design for some sleek, low-profile, OEM looking roll hoop speakers - we'll see how things work out.

So far though, the spring weather has been fantastic for some top down motoring, and I'm loving getting the S out daily!

Haven't worked on my car yet, but I've collected

-ap2 center console
-red console cover
-magnetic drain plugs
-oem brakes and oem lug nuts

I was going to do a new soft top also this summer, but instead went with an oem hardtop.
Has anyone else been storing parts?

Nice. I have looked at the console conversion as well. Hope you also have the AP2 Hazard Warning Switch. Honda changed it on the AP2 to save cost. The hole size was increased to make it match the roof switch and save a machining operation.

I haven't finished. I am waiting for a clip I broke on the rear tray. I should complete replacing trim this week. Went with the Robbins cloth. I love it and the fit is spot on. The job isn't hard and the only non standard tool is a rivet puller. The job is long but not difficult. Taking my time to clean 12 years of dirt out of hard to reach places and relube everything. I did it alone.

I like the AP2 ovals and think they look great on the earlier S2Ks.
