Hey everyone....

Just curious is you had some street encounters you would like to share. I would think here in Utah with limited S2k's those of us would have lots of stories?

I dont consider myself a racer....ok ok I know the nick states so... but do you get paranoid at stoplights that everyone that pulls up want to get it on? In he short time that I have owned my s2k that is kinda the impression I get....

I pulled on a nice shiny red tinted audi (not sure of the model..it had 4 doors) very nice looking...looked Zaionoed ...the other day...at light leading up to the on ramp to I-15.....kinda my first encounter.....he jumps out...and takes off....I gather my senses and think....I'll run with him...I get a weak launch....rev high in 1st...shift to 2nd...start to catch him.......revving high in 2nd...(dont know rpm...wasnt paying attention..lol)...pull even...halfway up the ramp.......shift to 3rd....start pulling...........and it was over....he was in my rear view mirror.....by the way he shot out at the light it would almost seem like he was begging for it, but I might have interpreted things differently from my paranioa...lol.....


I hear some great stories of street encounters of people pulling over and getting out and just plain being cool....it should be for fun...and I'd be interested in running with alot of rides just for the sake of experience given all the right factors of course..(safety, cops etc)...do you think most of the drivers here in Utah are like that?...I would tend to think not but I don't know for sure...

I read the stories but I dont understand what they mean by rolling start?...are two cars even at a certain speed?

A friend of mine has a 99 V6 Accord....cherry to the bones...runs NOS...hits high12's or very low 13's...I'm hopeful he will teach me a few things as he does race....but overall he is a nice guy.....

I have so much to learn....

 

I've heard the story of a mythical S2000 taking an NSX in a street race.....of course I wouldn't know though

It's really not much of a story. It was a black 91' with an automatic so we were pretty evenly matched. He asked if I wanted to line up so I said ya, why not. Neither of us launched we just wanted to see how we would do against each other. I had him beat to about 100-105 when his 32 extra horses showed up and he finally pulled me. Get a good launch and an S2k could take any 91-96 NSX in the quarter.

I have a some much better stories that I will tell some time, I just don't feel like typing them all out at the moment
