Default VAFC tuning

Does anyone have the VAFC and if so where did you take it to get tuned? Do we have a tuning shop in Utah or do I need to go to California?

Thanks,

Dennis

Check here first:

If that doesn't get you anywhere, you may want to give Modern Garage a call (801.262.4605)

Do you already have the VAFC? If not, you may want to talk to Modern about Unichip. They have a harness coming out for the S2K soon.

tweder,

Thanks for the link, but I already read it...it says to get your VAFC tuned on a dyno beacuse every car is different. That's why I was wondering if and where anyone in Utah had done it.

msm_s2k ,

Not yet, but I wanted to make sure there was a tuning place here first. What's Unichip?

msm_s2k,

What's this unichip you speak of?

I'd also like to know of the UniChip, unless it offers adjustability than I wouldn't be interested. Modern Garage is definately the best place to get a V-AFC tuned. I've wanted a V-AFC, but things always come up, so it gets pushed back. Right now I'm trying to get money to install my 4.77 Rear Gear and get the Comptech Differential Housing, while adding parts to my STi and trying to pay that off.

Thanks guys,

I was just making sure there's a place around here before I go and buy one.

WOW!!! Modern Garage wants $260 to tune a VAFC!!! I think I might go to California for a vacation and let UL do it for $150.

Unichip is similar to the the VAFC and Modern has a lot more experience tuning with it as it's popular with the Suburu crowd ... so tuning will less.

Hmmm...I've been looking for Subaru parts like mad and I have yet to stumble upon the Unichip. Modern is expensive, but I feel they are the best. Phantom Motorsports treated me like a dick and it seemed as though they had little experience in S2000's.
