Hrmm mine seems to be sitting okay at the moment. Maybe there was some excess plastic left on the spring when you removed it from the plastic sheet?

Day 3 - Front Suspension & Underbody

I picked up a better Yellow from Tamiya & Re-painted the chassis. I made a bit more progress tonight but also got a little frustrated by the glue eating the paint, fitting something backwards then having to dismantle and do again. BAH!

Don't look too closely and it all seems to be coming together nicely.

The exhaust was the last touch to finish off the underbody. Definately in need of some touch ups & tidying now as I can look back and see all my mistakes, but they can wait, I am on to the body.

Not too sure if attaching the mirrors before or after spraying the body is a good idea, I guess i'll soon find out.

I learned it's best to apply a base layer of a light colour when using metallic colours.

The full exhaust system

The finished underbody - still needs some tidying up

The mirrors attached - now ready for prep & paint (scary)

Finished off the body paint yesterday. (with the best colour of course)

Not sure now if I should clear coat or if using Tamita Polish will be best options??
