On another note, and this is for ALL Island Owners!

As you know I am trying to organize a Poker Run for next summer (July 24th 2010 weekend). This will be a weekend event with a meet on Friday, Poker Run and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and cruz on Sunday. This will be held at Mt Washington Resort.

Mt Washington requires a $550.00 payment to hold the facilities for us. I would like to say that this event is being hosted by the Island S2K Owners instead of just me. To that end I was hoping that the following could happen.

Myself and MickeyS2000 and Mid Isle S2K have all donated money to this event
ddonovan - $100.00
mickeys2000 - $100.00
Mid Isle S2K - $250.00

I was hoping that each Island member that is planning on attending could toss me $20.00 each to help to pay for the facility. We are short only $100.00 thus far and as such we would only need 5 of you to donate $20.00 each but if more donate then we will simply put the rest of the money towards prizes.

I am going to send a PM to each Island member asking if they could possibly donate $20.00 to the cause thus making this a true Island Sponsored event. Does anyone have a problem with that?

Reason I thought of this was everyone else coming to this event is going to have to spend the night in a hotel AND pay for ferry not to mention gas for travel and food. We Islanders don' t have to fork out this money so the event is obviously cheaper for us to attend. $20.00 isn't too much to ask I think for a great event put on by us.

I would like to hear your comments on this because if too many are against it I will find another way to raise the money. Let's make this event an event to remember.
