Default AP1 OWNERS! Public Service Announcement
Well my car exhibited no signs that anything was wrong but I've been spending a lot of time on here reading horror stories about valve spring retainers failing. Since i picked up my car with 150k on it, I had no idea what the POs driving habits were so I figured i'd upgrade to AP2 retainers just in case. and sure enough here's what they looked like...

did you find any recessed cotters before you decided to pull the retainers off?

No I didn't check. I just went to my mechanic and asked for an ap2 swap
