sorry dave you couldnt be more wrong, letting some one stand in front of the net game in game out getting in louongos way is not how to win hockey games.

byfuglien plays a lot like bertuzzi when he was at his prime and we got owned. I agree with the coaching change. Alain has done his best but he can't take us past 2nd round. We had bad luck with defence. But offense??? We're wasting firepower. And burrows.. He can't score unless it's an empty net.

 

When your a goalie and you have an issue like that take a penalty and whack him in the ankles..., He will think twice about it next time.

 

and if Dustin Bufuglien is in front of you WHACK him in the freaking head

 

then when they score on the power play, how does that penalty look???

if the goalie kept doing that, they would keep putting a guy in front so the goalie can keep taking penalties,

the defense's job is to clear the net, not the goalie


the goalies job is the first save, its teh defenses job to make sure there isnt a 2nd and 3rd shot

 

yesterday game was so disappointing.

And if the defence can't move him they get a penalty trying..., at least if Luongo hit him in the ankles he won't have to keep on taking penalties..., one will do. Teh defence simply could not get it done with this guy so you have to result to something else. Even the announcers were saying that the Cannucks were just adding to the screen in front of the net, I would rather be screened by one person than two or three.

if you watched- they barely tried,

do you really think a guy whose job is to stand in front of the net is going to stop if the goalie hacks at his ankles? no, because he is doing his job.

you can't sit here and blame the loss on the goalie, the defence of the canucks is seriously lacking.
