CANUCKS
I agree with a lot of what has been said here; although maybe not getting Bertuzzi since he's not 1/2 the player that he was before the Moore incident. He doesn't even look as big anymore. Even if we had Bert, since he doesn't play D, he wouldn't be the one moving Byfuglien anyways. I think the Buff got into the head of Louie.
Luongo, yeah I think he has to go. In the playoffs, it's not how much you get paid, it's how hot you are. Look at the recent history Osgood, Ward, & Khabibulin. They weren't/aren't considered the best goalies in the league, yet they got hot at the right moment. Osgood even lost his starting job and lately Ward hasn't been able to get his team into the playoffs.
Let's hope Halak can do it this year for Montreal. I think we are better off having a mid-priced goalie and spending the rest of the money on a top 6 (even top 3 if we include the money we spent on Dimitra) forward.
Vigneault, I'd be willing to give him one more chance. If these playoffs hadn't produced so many upsets I might've said "for sure fire the coach!" But Babcock & Bylsma, the coaches of the last two Cup champions, I would consider both of them pretty good coaches. If we are stuck with Lu, coach V needs to play him less, maybe he was a bit burnt out from playing so many games.
The D, yeah we need some help there.
Enough said.
I also think we need more toughness up front. Bernier is a big guy, but he seems slow and he doesn't use his size enough to his advantage.
Anyhow, it's not so much that we lost to Chicago that bugs me. It's the fact that we got blown out by Chicago in so many games, that really irks me!

I want to see someone else in net and pass on the captaincy to someone else. Letting in 5 goals in an elimination game is unacceptable.
Need some bigger players who can do some big hits and screen the goalie. No one was hitting hard.
I miss the WCE days when Bert drives the net with one hand on the stick, Nazzy's perfect top corner shots, and Ohlund's big hits along the boards. Good times.

I still don't like the way AV coaches. But this year's team was destined to lose to the Hawks since their D is weaker this year compared to last year.
Ohlund gone for Erhoff and Mitchell injured. That means the Nucks were down 2 solid D men while SOB was forced to play a bigger role this year, and Alberts is the SOB replacement for taking stupid penalties.
Personally, I don't think the Nucks have what it takes to beat the Sharks even if they did beat Chicago.
