I don't think we should conclude someone is dumb just because we know his clutch is shot in a short time. A lot of times there are defects and problems right from the factory.

My brother's buddy had his S for just under 2 years, and managed to go through 3 clutches. When I bought my car, the saleman told me that story again.
Granted, some of that was heavy driving, but some was just poor manufacturing as well
