i need a better way to mount the plate to my bracket

I made a template that used two bolts under the bumper to give it more strength but wasnt sure if I wanted to mount it there until I got some opinions. It was really close to the location that you had yours at. If i have some time later this week I will try to make something out of aluminum and atach a bracket for a plate to that and see how it works.

I did make one for my integra back in the days and it was pretty easy.

cut out sheet of metal, drill 4 holes(two for bumper, two for plate)
and bend it 90deg.

I don't have access to equip anymore, but if we do know someone, it would be piece of cake.

As for mounting, Homedepot has very good quality metric stainless steel bolt, washer, nuts.. (10~20cent a piece)

i made a two-piece 20 degree angled one that's similar to the "ricks" angled plate holder. it's two pieces so i can change the plate angle w/out having to remove the entire bracket from the front bumper.

anyway, does anyone want to test it out for me? i haven't had time to try it on my own car. if anyone wants to be the guinea pig, i can let them have my prototype plate holder for free. note i accidentally made it 1/4" too wide (tiny bit wider than the license plate). it looks fine as-is but it can be trimmed down if you're picky

Cam...you can call and cancel. You have a legit reason since you are out of town.

I've done it before and so have friends to delay the court date when I needed more time to get my full license type of thing (I had my N at the time).

I like where I installed mine, 2 L-shape bracket and one bolt. Might interrupt air flow for you FF guys though.

I imagine that in BC that would be OK, however my buddy here in socal placed his plate much like you did. So far he's been lucky, and had no overheating issues on his AP1..

drill 2 holes on the bumper side and the license plate, and zip tie it. you don't block any airflow going to the rad/intefooler, so its a win win
