my friend is selling his car...
it's 2003 white s2k with 9xxxkm...

take over his lease...
it's $562 a month(after tax)
and buy out price is $15000. only 19 month left.

he paid around 25000 for downpayment + monthly fees.

he want's $22000 for lease take over...

Indecision

It is me or the math doesn't work out?
$562 * 19 = 10,678 (lease payment)
+ 15000 (to buy out the lease)
+ 22000 (to take over the lease)
---
$47,678

or is the deal like this

$562 * 19 = 10,678 (lease payment)
+ 22000 (include the $15,000 buy out)
---
$32,678

First owner:
Assume this is a 36months lease 562 x 36 = 20232 + 25000 (dp) + (15000 + tax)
approx. 62332 (tax in) for a 2003 S2k
p.s u pay interest on a lease or finance

Second owner:
i think is still make sense if u wanna buy this car after the lease, but if u dont' wanna buy it , u just paid too much for a lease car.
so i guess he is asking {22000 + 562 x 19 + (15000 + tax)} for a 03 (9000 km ) s2k

i ve asked once in another case, first u have to pay him wutever he paid for the down payment and then u got to pay the monthly thats it !
