So my transmission been having problems lately. in fourth gear going about 140 it starts to make a VERY loud sound and viberates like crazy. So I come home and there is OIL leaking every where I'm guess from the top of the transmission but i cannot see it. It also makes an airplane like noise when i'm driving. and when decellerating it makes a buzzing sound.. however it doesnt grind when i shift at all. I also just changed the oil. EITHER way I think my transmission is about to die.


So I been doing some research and its better if i put in an AP2 tranny into an AP1 engine. better acceleration and a longer 6 gear. Which helps since i'm running pretty much 4.77's and my high way blows. So I was wondering is it a better idea to get a used AP2 tranmission or try to fix the AP1 transmission. If so where can i get an AP2 engine. finding s2k at auto wreakers seem to be impossible to find. nor is it exactly cheap. I would also need a new clutch while I attempt to install or buy the transmission.

So any help would be GREAT!
