How many people using a dci/swi?
I bought a new deck a while ago, and I was having a hard time deciding whether to buy a dci/swi, try to make my own, or just not use it all.
I've concluded that I love the dash controls too much to give it up so I ended up ordering the modifry dci. As an EE, I really considered making my own but there's no schematics out there, nor do I know what to feed into the remote jack, and I would also have to make one for my friend who has a different deck.
So $90+shipping+duties just to get the goddamn dash controls back!
Just wondering how many people are using a dci/swi with their aftermarket hu because they cant live without the dash controls.

Just got my modifry dci in the mail today actually (wired one), probably put it in tomorrow. I've gone 9 months now without it, and it's not something I couldnt live without but had a few extra bucks kicking around and figured it would be nice to have.

I used to have the Modifry wired DCI, and I loved it! But it died earlier this month (thermal death... don't install it directly behind the HU ), and it's been floating around the continent locked in UPS trucks for the last month. Hopefuly I'll have mine back before September
For only $90 it's a steal of a deal, it's not a very complicated system but you would waste a ton of time re-engineering it from scratch.

I am on my second one. I had an IR one for my Alpine deck and loved it.
Now with the JVC deck, I had to buy another one, so I got a wired one.
The nice thing with the Modifry DCI is that there is no delay. On some of the other ones, there is a bit of delay.
