Default lowering springs

Well i was installing my rims today and I noticed that after they were mounted that there is a fairly big difference between the driver and passenger sides.

there is:

almost 2 finger gap on the driver side rear

and 1 finger gap on the passenger rear

both front and back are like this.. except front driver has 1 and a bit finger gap and passenger has almost no room.. kinda hard to explain.. I could try and post pictures if it would help

I did not d the install of the springs.. It cme with the H&R springs installed.. Do you think they could have put two rears on one side or something.. Has anyone ever heard of this... I know i would be better off with some coilovers but not sure if i can afford it right now..

thanks guys

Sell me your rims so you can afford coilovers

Springs will never be a perfect even drop. Weight is not distributed evenly among all four corners of a car, and your front 2 springs and rear 2 springs are going to be identical. Hence the difference.

Sounds more substantial in your case though

Also make sure you go drive your car around again. When you drop your car back down onto the ground it never settles evenly.

tahst what i was thinkin.. i saw that the sides were a little different with the other rims, and i did a preload on the higher side to see if i could lower but i didn't help much if anything... i am thinking that because of the higher offsets it may make it a little more noticeable.. i can't take it out for a drive for a while because of the snow, but i will let it settle for a couple days and see if it gets any better anyone know of any good coils for sale mfor a decent price

If for example:

Front (Left) = 2finger gap_________________Front(Right) = 1finger gap

Rear(Left) = 2finger gap__________________Rear(Right) = 1finger gap

maybe whoever installed your springs got one of the springs mixed up, as in, put the rears to the front and front to the rears. Or vice versa. I know there was a problem for those who installed skunk2 springs, some of them wanted the "rake" drop, so they put the rear springs to the front so it gave them a better look (rear springs drop more than the front) or the "rake" drop that was intended.

yah u got it... but what you said would not account for the sides being different right... if they were just swapped out then the balance from the back and front would be off but the sides are different right. so it would be almost like they put the rears on one side and the fronts on the other.. i will have to check that in the spring.. they have stteled down a little more tho.. so i may have just got over excited/worried about it... i may look into some megan racing colovers some time soon though.. they seem decentlly priced and i have read some good things on them.. much lower and i will need some bigtime fender rolling and move the biumper bolt

well, what i assume might happen is, they put the front springs on the driver side, and the rear springs on the passenger. Which would explain why one side is higher/lower than the other. IF your springs aren't that old, you can always look at the serial/product code to see if they are switched around as we thought
