Thumbs down OBDII Scanner?

looks like i need to aircare my car before saturday.. when i first got the car, two of the vacuum hoses were connected incorrectly, so it was giving me secondary air pump malfunction code. i reset the ecu, but haven't actually cleared the codes yet.

soo, does anyone have an OBDII scanner that i could clear the code with?

perhaps someone could bring one to the meet/cruise this thursday?

I have a scanner but I'm pretty sure clearing the code won't help because you would have cleared it when you pulled the battery.

oh, so the code won't be a problem if the battery has been pulled? i was under the impression that the stored code would still show up?

can anyone confirm that you can pass aircare if you've pulled the battery to clear the cel, but haven't cleared the saved code with a scanner?

i assume you cleared the codes with a scanner. i'm surprised it didn't cause the car to go into the not-ready state (which would cause you to fail aircare).

anyways, i spoke to the OP and it sounds as if his CEL is no longer on. he just thought that the code would still be stored in the ecu even after he reset it.
