Default Ok...I have to share this with s2k buddies: Ruby got into an accident!!!!!

I could post pics....but I won't. I really can't stand looking at my car anymore!

Darwin's brother took Ruby out late afternoon yesterday with Darwin as the passenger. We were supposed to have dinner at his brother's house as a family get together in Port Coquitlam.
He went up Coho...st, ave....whatever...that steep hill...vteched, gave it too much gas..or "sudden" gas....going around a corner....lost control...did a 360 degree turn....and crashed into the curb!

Um....the damage is done mostly to the front of the left side. The left wheel...is a gonner...and the rocker panel on the left side is also shoved in BIG time.

Darwin made a list of what was broken and needed to replaced:
(Mind you...these are all "HONDA" parts...which mean lots of $$ which his brother will be paying for!! )

Front Left knuckle
Front Hub & Bearing Assy
Honda Front Left Lower Control Arm
Front Left Upper Control Arm
Front Left Lower Ball Joint
Front Left Stabilizer Link
Front Left Wheel
Front Rotor (BY THE WAY, RUBY'S IS IN 3 PIECES RIGHT NOW )
Brake Splash Guard Front Left

Ya see?? Ruby's just hurting!!

So word of advice.....never let anyone drive your car! Not even "family" or soon to be "family"....its just not worth the risk and damage!!

Sigh...ok...I'll take pics....I'll be back.

I'm thinking of letting go of Ruby and getting myself a new car. I just can't stand a damaged car. It will no longer be PERFECT in my eyes. Tried looking around for some car's that I might consider getting in replacement for Ruby...but crap....she's the best. So much fun....
M3? Porsche??

What do you guys think I should do? To take care of my car so so well, and be so so careful when I drive, ....and one day, some else just crashes her.....I don't think I can take driving my car again. I'm trying to cope and accept this....but for those of you that got to know me........I really really don't think I'll be able to get over this.

I was considering maybe an '03 in red...but red is so rare....I even had to order Ruby in that color. And an '04 I test drove last weekend...and I DID NOT like it.....

Hmmm... That is very sad news. I would go for an '04. A new test drive might be more well received given your new perspective.

I hope Darwin is OK.

Most of the "damaged" parts are at A&J....since they are bringing in the parts we need from Honda.
