I only got 1 key from the previous owner and always had a fear that I will lose my key one day.
What is the cheapest way of getting another key? If I buy a key online and ask the dealer to program it, the Honda dealer said it might lock up in the ignition and I'd have to replace the whole master cylainder (not sure if it's BS so I'd have to buy a key from them).
Anyone program another key before? I wonder if it's worth the cost.. $100+?

I think I read somewhere here that a key was more like $300.00 Cdn once you got it programmed and everything.

 

Is the $300cdn one the AP2 keys that has the S2000 logo with a silver background?

 

Yes I believe so.

 

I was in the same boat when I bought my AP2. Cost me $75 for the key and $75 to have it programmed at Campus Honda in Victoria.
. At the same time I bought a key just for the door for around $10 + cutting........probably 15 bucks or so.

Just call any Honda dealer for the straight goods..............
