Well actually you need a helmet which you can get a cheapie one or a fancier one. I got mine for like $80 or something.

You guys are welcome to try mine if you're considering buying one. I live about 15mins east of UBC.

The modded bikes look pretty cool with the fat rear tire. For a sec, I thought they came like that stock.

like one approved for motorcycles or could i get away with my mountain bike full-face?

Don't quote me but I think any basic helmet will do. I say this because the guy told me one that went over the head (kinda like a cap) that they sold was enough.
