Do you have to pay taxes to get them shipped from the US?
Yes you do. Tire Rack & Discount Tire Direct, possibly other co's too, will ship to Canada. When you enter your Canadian Postal Code, they will also include the duty, taxes and brokerage fees. An alternative is to drive to the US to pick them up and import them yourself. More info here.

the Hankook RS2's, hands down. they'll be almost as good as the RE11's for about half the price

Well changed my mind. I am going to go with the g-Force Super Sport A/S and have them mounted on my Stock rims. I am going to throw away the rear 050's that are worn but I am going to keep the 050's from the front. I will get some new rims in the summer and mount the front 050's on those and by that time I will purchase another set of 050's for the rear and have two sets, one for the "off" season and one for the summer, mounted.

^^^In that case, why don't you consider getting snow tires?

I ended up getting the Bridgestone g-Force Super Sport A/S. These are all season and I was told that performance is very close and they have the same speed rating as the 050's.
You mean BFGoodrich, right? Those are what I have.

You might want to check what West Coast tire on Sooke road will sell them for, they were the cheapest (surprisingly) when I was looking.

My fronts are due soon, was at Discovery Honda for last oil service inquired about new Potenzas and was quoted 220.00 per plus 20.00 for balance install ect. Just watched the Suzuka F1 last night and they all run Potenzas. John

Those would be the 050's. I was looking at RE11's Still that is a better price than I was quoted from most stores and it appears our rears are easy to replace but the fronts are kind of hard to find.

I talked myself into an All weather just because of where we live. I'm not as concerned about the snow as I am the rain which we get a lot of. These tires are rated excellent in the wet. Face it our cars are just the $hit in the snow and nothing is going to make them any better. Just too light.

You thinking of running F1 next year once you get your Potenza'a and the Super Charger (sorry Donna, I mentioned it).

:-)
