Default Vancouver Auto Show '06

Is it just me or does anybody else find the same that the Vancouver Auto Show is getting less and less interesting every year? Lucky I usually get free admission... For some background info, I've been to the Geneva Auto Show back in 2001 which was about 7 times the size and I could barely finish skimming thru' all the booths in 1 full day. And that's where I touch the Porsche Carrera GT the first time, and rode in the Mini Cooper convertible and Smart Car convertible the first time. Remember that was 2001!

The S display car (Silverstone?) this year runs the same deck lid spoiler like my '00. IIRC, they had the wing on last year's display car (GPW?). When I sat in the Solstice, a GM salesguy came over and asked something about buying a GM car. I said, "no, I have a Honda S2000 and just want to check out other roadsters and the market." He said, "oh, this car is going to sell fast. In fact, this car is selling good right now" and walked away. Haha!

One of the points of interest for me is of course the VCMC booth where my BMW is on display (it has a Canadian National and other local autocross champion titles under its belt).

For some random pics, I've uploaded some onto my Imagestation account here

Yeah I thought it was pretty dull too. Gotta love free tickets tho I was in and out in under an hour. Here are a few of the only cars that made the trip worth it...

Ah, I guess I wasn't wrong at first. I thought it was the lighting in there that made the Silverstone looked wierd. I was going to check the color code around the door jam but people were busy getting in and out of the car.
