What brake pads are you running?
So I just picked up an S2000 yesterday and the previous owner recently replaced the brake pads with Hawk HPS. These things squeal like mad when coming to a stop and it's starting to drive me nuts. I won't be getting this car on a track until next summer so I don't need anything too high performance anyway.. can anyone recommend some quality but quieter ones to try out and the best place around Vancouver to get them?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Honda OEM pads work exceptionally well for clean and quiet braking. I had no issues with them at all.*
I've since switched to Hawk HP+ for autocross use, they squeal every time I touch the pedal, and take only a few days to coat my wheels in thick black dust... probably not what you're looking for.
* OEM pads don't have enough bite for racing tires, but are great for street tires.

Dump the HPS. Those things are worse than stock pads.
Get someone to take a look at brake pads. If installed properly, the pads shouldn't squeal too badly. I had race pads on for a few weeks and squeal wasn't too bad but they did chew up the rotors.

in response to the above about OEM pads - make sure they are AP1 pads....they work for AP2 as well, but AP1 OEM pads are much better then OEM AP2 pads. Less brake dust and no squeeling.
