WTB: '00-'03 S2000 in Vancouver
Hey all,
Vancouver local here looking to buy an S2000 as soon as possible. I am looking for the following:
2000-2003 Model (prefer 02 or 03 with glass rear window)
Red/Black interior preferred, but not critical
<65,000 kms
No claims, accidents or damage (I work for ICBC so don't bother lying about it)
Any aftermarket rims, stereos or seat heaters would be welcome.
Price: up to $32,500
I have been watching the buy & sell, autotrader and the classifieds for a while and most of the S2k's posted there are rebuilds, smashed up, or crap. I test drove the one at Morrey Nissan yesterday, only to discover that there was 5-10 litres of standing water in the trunk. Literally, a full fledged lake, god only knows how long it's been sitting there full of water. You should have seen the look on the dealer's face, it was priceless. That same car was at Totem Ford back in April and has yet to be sold. If it's been on the market for 8 months between two different dealers it makes you wonder what's wrong with it. There have to be more S2000's for sale out there beyond the 10 in the buy & sell. I'm having a hell of a time finding a decent car out there. Come on people, who wants to sell me their baby?? I'll treat her real good. Please send pics and info to:
danqorn@hotmail.com
Thanks guys,
Dan

They'll have to make a car with twice the fun and excitement as the S for me to let mine go.
What about Carter Honda? I drove by last week and saw a black one in their show room.

Thanks indecision,
I live nearby so I'll be sure to go by and check it out this week. I'm looking for an '00-'03, so hopefully the black one you saw isn't brand new. I'm hoping to pick up a lease return from someone who decides to return their S after 36 months and not go for the generally overpriced buy-out option. Wish me luck. Anyone else out there know where I can get my hands on what I'm looking for?

Thanks for the tip BKL,
Please either post some specifics here in the forum or have him email me the details at danqorn@hotmail.com
I don't mind waiting because I'm having a hard time finding one as it is. I'd much rather wait an extra few months to find the right car rather than get anxious and buy one that is less desirable. Does your friend's car meet my expectations in my original posting?
Thanks again,
Dan

Anyone else???
Come on, I know someone out there is thinking of buying a condo or starting a family and needs the money. That roadster just isn't practical anymore. Sometimes it's a bitter pill to swallow but you should be happy knowing that people like me are only too happy to take your car off your hands for you. So who wants to sell me their 'S'? Please take a look at the original posting for details. I'm not interested in a 3-owner yellow '00 with 3 claims and $12000 in damage. It really shouldn't be so hard to find this car. Hit me up...

Hey gorn,
I got your pm. PM'd you back.
I love my car, and hate to sell, but I am looking at a new job which requires me to have a larger vehicle (SUV, wagon, van), plus I wanna buy a house
