VIS2k Signing Off
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It's been great meeting some fine floks over the years, attending at some meets, shows and cruises, but alas all good things must come to an end.
Today I traded the S in for something a little bit farther along in the alphabet.
Baljet Chevrolet in Duncan is now the owner of my S2000, and I am the proud owner of Peter's unmolested, restored 1971 Camaro Z28.
Might see some of the fiends I've made at the Porshce and Friends show and shine or somewhere else down the road.
Peace and God bless,
Mike

Hey Dave,
Yes, that likely is my old car at Campus Honda (check for Sirius antennae on dash).
I believe Peter Baljet also owns the Honda dealership in Duncan and traded it to Victoria right away (he had a used S2k in Duncan already).
If you see me around town in this, give me a wave...

I've got a few bits for poker run door prizes as well. Will try to make it out to a meet some time soon - if I'm allowed
See you soon,
Mike

Wow nice..., you can come out anytime..., if you want to bring that out to the Poker Run,we might make an exception for you. Can you tell me anything about your car? I've got a guy in Vancouver coming over to take a look at it on Saturday.
I bought the car in January 2008 from Metro Toyota Victoria. 28,099km.
The original owners / warranty manual and PDI is with the car, along with both sets of keys and remotes.
Everything is with the car including spare and tool kit and tonneau cover.
It's all stock with the exception of K&N drop in filter.
12/21/2007 28,258 Used Vehicle Inspection, Oil and Filter Change
1/20/2008 28,500 K&N Air Filter

3/18/2008 30,400 Transmission Oil Change
3/19/2008 30,510 Fuel Injector Cleaner
3/22/2008 30,575 Clutch Fluid Change

2/25/2009 42,636 Engine Oil and Filter Change
8/19/2009 48,625 Engine Oil and Filter Change
8/19/2009 48,625 Clean cabin Filter
9/27/2009 49,745 Differential Oil Change
9/27/2009 49,745 Transmission Oil Change
1/9/2010 52,730 Clean Spak Plugs, Check Air Filter > OK
1/23/2010 53,234 Rebuild Clutch Hydraulics
1/24/2010 53,234 Replace Brake Fluid
4/9/2010 55,632 Engine Oil and Filter Change
Some time in 2010 I also replaced all brake pads with ceramic pads
Oil was basically changed every 5,000km with name brand 10w30 and genuine Honda filter.
Diff fluid was changed using synthetic fluid.
Trans fluid was always chnaged using genuine Honda fluid.
December 2011 I replaced the front tires with BFG g-Force Sports.
I'm still not entirely happy with the way the transmission shifts. You drive it and let me know what you think. Check for some rear end whine as well. Maybe I'm just too OCD
Other than that, it's a great car. No issues with the top.
The front bumper and trunk are not original to the car. Front bumper has been repainted (before I bought the car), everything else is original paint, never been hit. I believe the car originally had the front air dam and rear spoiler which explains the side strakes and front bumper / trunk being swapped.
It's been a good car, never let me down. The only reason I traded it was because I've always wanted a '71 Z28 since high school. They're really rare, Less than 5,000 produced, only about 200 sold in Canada. Back in the day the Z28 was essentially a factory ordered road race car, not a marketing deal like later years. The solid lifter motor was specific to the Z28 along with other goodies like close ration transmission, quick ratio steering, special suspension, exhaust, posi etc. This one's numbers matching, fully documented etc. It's definately not as fuel efficient as the S2000 though
Otherwise, I'd still be driving it.
Hope this helps your friend make a decision Dave. See you soon.

So I saw the car today, and the car was indeed in fantastic shape.
Truly a mint condition Canadian born and raised AP2.
However the dealership and I could not come to a price agreement so I had to unfortunately walk away from the car.
They dealership was asking for a $9000 preimium on top of trading in my 07 Subaru Legacy Spec B (67000km). That was simply more than I wanted to (and can afford to) pay for this car.
I then went and took a look at another AP2 from Nanaimo Honda, 2007 with 66000km.
This one was asking for only $19995, but it was a US import, and by the looks of it it had a nasty accident with a bad repair job. Front bumper and passenger side fender was replaced but painted/fitted poorly, and the front bumper didn't line up evenly from left to right. Guess the price reflects the condition.
Will try to test the waters in selling my Spec B privately, and maybe take another crack at this car if its still availiable.
Thanks again to everyone that helped out on this forum.
This is truely a great community and I hope to be apart of it one day. (Soon)
