Default Should i buy this?

Its a 2000 GPW/RED WITH 52K ON IT FOR 12,800....

I have a 03 Cad dev DHS with a new motor with 40 on it... and 120k on the body...

its at a dealer but hes offering like 3500 for my car...i think i could sell it for atleast 5000 (realistic)

now financing 7 or 8k on a 10 year old car is retarded but i want the s2k...so im torn....

i dont want to have a large loan out so 05's and up i dont want to do....

Advice greatly appreciated ... it was a carmax car (whatever that means) and im going to be selfish and not post the vin because you'd be able to google it and find it lol ...

Financing 8k on a 10 year old car isn't stupid if the car is worth it.

Even though that s2000 has decent mileage on it, the price seems a bit high. I've seen nice 04-05 ap2's go for a little less than $14,000, but do have like 90k miles. If you really do want it, try to talk down the price as much as possible, and if you still really want it, go for it.

I paid $13,800 for my 02 a couple years ago from a dealer with 70k on it. Then again since mine is an 02 I have the glass soft top, and all the other little goodies along with it.

It does surprisingly well in the snow. I daily drive everyday and havent had any problems yet. It would be a very good investment to get some snow tires like some Blizzaks (I think thats how you spell it). I am going to get some as soon as I can for this winter. Many s2000 owners have them and they are much better in the snow.

buy one from private owner (so you don't pay tax on your new s2k, you save a lot). I got my 05 with 50k miles for $15k few month back. Good luck!
