Default 17f 18r?

Hey guys, im looking into getting some new wheels.
May be a stupid question but here goes.

Has anyone ever had 17's on the front and 18's on the rear?

Have yet to decide on width etc.

Any help is much appreciated

fwiw, I'm running 245/40-17 fronts with 275/35-18 rears on my RX-7. If there were a greater selection of 275s for 17" wheels, I would have gone 17" all around...

Problem with running staggered diameters on cars that came with same diameter all around is that you either have to have way lower profile rear tires which makes the rear tires look smaller from the side, or you have to have larger-diameter rear tires (my fitment = 0.9" larger-diameter rears).

Anyway, you could run similar sizes on the S2000, I've run greater tire diameter stagger with no problems with abs on street or track.

I was going to say the main disadvantage is the lack of tire options for the 18's and then also matching it with the 17's.
