Default 17's in front, 18's in back

I was wondering if anyone has this setup? My friend says this would look weird with the different profiles I would be running. I'd like peoples opinions. Thanks.

I was also thinking about doing that with 5zigen super 6's... in fact, thats the only way you can get a stagger with those rims (so its more outta necessity than style)

I don't see any reason for doing it and several reasons for not doing it. For one thing, it's not immediately apparent to the average observer, so why do it? I can think of no performance advantages. I run 18's all 'round.

Well, its definately cheaper (by a little bit...) and tires are cheaper too (by a little bit). What wheels are you trying to run?? I'm in the market for a new set of rims, and I'm pretty curious.

The ride is better with more sidewall up front. But that's no reason to run 18s in the rear

Yeah, well as far as I'm concerned it's 17's for ride, 18's for response and 19's strictly for show.

No real reason not to do it. As long as you're careful to choose tires for the rims that have roughly the same overall diameter (255/35-18s and 225-45 17s?) you're not going to adversely effect ABS or handling.
