Well, Vettes and NSXes (I don't think RX-8s run a staggered setup ) are designed to run smaller wheels up front. The outside diameter is smaller on these cars so there is no need for the bigger sidewall up front to keep the OD the same. Some S2Ks are running the stock NSX 16/17 setup and it looks a little awkward, too. With the smaller OD up front there is more fender gap than usual up there.

So it can never be exactly "right" for an S looks-wise. Bigger sidewall or more gap. Pick one.

I wouldn't stagger unless it came from the factory staggered therefore was produced with stagger in mind... did I mention stagger? With that said, to each his own.

My bad. Sorry, I thought there was one other car on the market that offered different size rims. Pretty sure Viper does, though.
