Default 17x8 (245) vs. 17x9 (235)

I'm debating on a 17x8 +50 with a 245 40 17 or going with a 17x9 +45 and a 235 40 17 rear.

Not sure what would be better. Car is my daily driver and it will see 2 or 3 trips to the dragon and maybe a trip to the track...maybe.

This is the gallery, so im sure this will get moved or locked. I would go with the 17x8 with the thicker tire. Or you can run the 17x9 with a 245 tire and roll the rear fenders with some camber.

17x9+45 will work with a 245 on stock fenders with some slight camber.
