Looks is in the eye of the beholder. For handling I would do the 17's w/ AP2 tire sizes. For bling, the 18's. Ride quality will of course go to the 17's (more tire sidewall).

IMO 18s don't look right without skirts and front lip, wheels are too big. 17s without kit, 18s with kit.

I had to get another set of wheels to have a set for the track and a set for the street. I chose 16s for the anti-bling look and cheaper tires

Most modern (i.e., HUGE) cars require HUGE wheels in order to look cool. IMO, 16's are big enough for the S2k, and I prefer minimalism to over-the-top overkill.

No way would I even consider 18's.

i like the look of 17"s on a stock body, but for kit or widebody, 18" is the only way to go. (check sig for pic)

the style of wheel will play an important part in your decision. for instance, LMs only look good in an 18in due to the lip. did you have a particular wheel in mind?

Yeah, I agree ...with regards to 17s vs 18s ...for a better ride with good looks ...17s ...but for a good ride with better looks ...18s.
