Default 18 x 8" rims with 255 tires

a friend of mine wants to buy a set of rims for his s2000. he said the rears are 18 x 8. offset is +45. he wants to put 255 tires on it because he doesn't want 40 profile for both front and rear. he wants 35 for rear. is this doable? any rubbing issues? or is it better to get 245/40 for rear?

PS: I believe he said he has -2.5 camber

that should work...but I'd roll the fenders/quarter panel to be safe...the only thing is that the tire is going to "bulge" the widest i would go on an 8" is 245. Ive seen a few people run 245/35/18 in the rear without any problems.

The 255 really needs at least a 18X8.5 wheel. I would also say that the 255 really needs to have a wheel offset of around 55 to 62 mm offset to fit without any modification.
If I can help let me know.
