Default 225/40/18 and 255/35/18

I am considering buying some BBS RG-Rs in 18x7.5 and 18x8.5. I am wondering if anyone KNOWS (not speculation) whether 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 will fit on a stock '04? I don't plan on crazy negative camber or dropping it anytime soon.

I am sure that 245s will fit on the rear, but if I can get 255s in there, I would prefer it. As for tire brands (since I know dimensions can vary), I am thinking Michelin PS2s or Falken RT-615s.

Thanks in advance!

I am running a set of 18" Volk LE37s with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 tires respectively on my 01. There is no issues with rubbing or anything at stock height, but i believe the rear fenders would have to rolled if you were intending to lower more than 1". What offset are the rims you are lookin at? the front is not as big an issue as the rear. You will want to run something like a +50 offest or higher. In the front a +48 or so will work fine.

It depends upon the REAL width of the tire and the offset.

With a 65 offset I rubbed with the 255 S02, but many tires aren't as wide as their rated size. Check the actual widths of the tires before you buy them. I see many people looking for narrower tires to stop the rubbing which seems wrong to me on a car like the S.

235 S02s fit with room to spare in the front. I could actually run the 255s in the front and they only rubbed at extreme turns.

Yes they'll fit. Earlier I thought OEM was 8 inch rear but in fact it's 8.5" You'll be fine as long as the offsets are good.
