Default 18's will rub? (Help Jim)

I ordered a set od le28n's in 18" 8.5 rear, 7.5 front. I have plans to lower the car with H&R coilovers, and now I'm hearing that I'll rub. Will someone please help me out with this? If this is true, I have to cancel this order. The offsets btw are 52/50. I don't want to have to roll my fenders, so that's not an option

If you drive on roads that are flat like a frying pan and you don't plan on turning hard, you'll be fine. Otherwise, you'll rub upon bumps and hard turns that will compress the suspension. Those offsets are too low.

The wheels size is

18X7.5 +50

18X8.5 +52

Depend on the tire size and tire choice you choose.

215/40 18

245/35 18

would be more conservative.

Try to choose a tire brand that don't have a thick wheel protector.

It weird how I rarely get calls on tire rubbing issues on 18 inch Volks.

Im running 18s with eibach pro drop.... about 1 inch all the way around... i can still corner hard and do not rub at all... i do slow down over speed bumps (but i did that when my suspension was stock, too)

I think a lot would depend on the tire and the alignment setting on the car. With a narrower section width tire and more negative camber you should be fine.
