wont look right unless you have widebody. but as far as possible goes, yes, you can fit 19" rims on an s2k with the correct offsets... as for worth it? i say it depends on what style of wheel, there are a few people here on s2ki with 19's and they actually pull it off pretty nicely due to the style of the wheel and the style of the car. however, most 19" rims look cumbersome on a stock s2k and the weight disadvantages should not go unnoticed.

They are correct, you can go 19" with the correct size and offset. The tire sizes need to be correct as well. They are going to be heavier but if it is for the street it should not be a problem.
If I can help let me know.

The only 19's I've seen on an S that looked decent were Racing Hart's.

I like 19s personally. I would buy some for my car if I like the style. I don't have a problem with them. You won't get many (if any besides me) to give 19" wheels some love in this forum. People here think 18s are too much for the car.
I say do it. Or else you can fit in with everyone else with an S2000 and get gunmetal or black wheels or maybe TA style wheels...
