Default 225 Front Tires OK For AP1? More Oversteer?

im about to purchase new tires for the AP2 V1 wheels i just picked up...been reading up on tire set-ups and i wanted to go with the CR rear tire size of 255...but now the front tire size has me perplexed. should i stay with the oem size of 215 45 17 or bump the width up to 225 since im buying new tires anyway?? ive been reading some positive reviews by most folks who upped to 225 fronts, but im wondering if it will it NEGATIVELY affect the the whole "oversteer" thing on my AP1? My car is a daily driver on STOCK suspension, no mods. Just looking trouble-free miles with good looks and handling....tnx all.

225's fit up front on mine just fine. I'm lowered too so you won't have any issues at all...

225f/245r setup is nice as it helps the car rotate more and reduces understeer, but your AP1 is pretty neutral as it sits, so I would go with a 255 tire in the rear and 225 front.

Haven't tried them yet, but I just bought 225/255 to put on my AP2V3 wheels on my AP1.

That's a good set up. If you're worried about "that oversteer thing", I don't think you'll have an issue with this set up at all.

I've been contemplating this as well so I appreciate all of the feedback on here...

I have a follow up question on this. I am currently running 215/45/17 and 255/40/17 on HKS Hypermax.... so should we opt for a slightly shorter 225/40/17 if we go this route? Or should we keep it at 225/45/17?

Thank you!

225/45 is basically an exact diameter match for a 255/40. 225/40 would be about 1" too small, stick with 225/45.
