Default 245/45/17?

As the title states, I'm wondering if anyone is running 245/45/17 in the rear or all around. NOTE - Not 245/40/17

I know it will fit, but am wondering what people's impressions are of the setup. I'm currently on 255/40/17 all around but found a fairly decent deal on a set of 245/45s and am tempted by them.

I'm worried they won't work as well on a 9-inch wheel as a 245 will.

Any input would be great. People with track experience on this size are greatly preferred, but anyone is welcome to chime in.

Thanks,

aCab

My friend has that size on oem ap2 wheels. And they ride and fit great, its lowered with no gap. And they are drag radials btw.

They do not fit great. They may fit but they do not fit great. They are 1" taller than the stock tires. Many people use a race tire in the 245/45R17 tire but they are a shorter tire than the street tires. You will change the speedomter, odometer and gear ratio.
