Default 255/40-17 on 8" wheel?

will it fit on 8" wheel without bubbling out? i know some tire brands (i.e. toyo, bridgestones) are narrow and some (i.e falken, yoko) are wider contact patch on 255.

falken's minimum for 255 is 8" , my question is will thy bubble or be vertical?

anyone with experience, can you post pics of 255/40-17 on 17x8s

thanks

You really need at least a 17X8.5 wheel and the 17X9 fits better. I would not recommend it. It would be best to stay 245/40R17.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

he has 255/40 on same wheel i have, its falkens zeix's.... i know falken azenis run wider but that one (255) doesn't look bubbly at all!

what you think jim? i'd love to run the widest possible tire

looking at hankook z212, falken rt615 and T1Rs can you shoot me a quote for 255/40 and 225/45?

thanks
