Default 255/45/17 too tall for the back?

I bought some rims that have 225/45/17 tires in the front and 255/45/17 tires in the back. Both the front and back are taller than stock but the rear is noticeably taller. Is it okay to run with this setup until i can get some 255/40/17 or 265/40/17 rubber back there?

its safe...but watch your speed, as your Speedo will read a little lower. I wouldn't do it for too long.

It's fine...we have people locally that run taller tires in the rear... Just change it to the right size after you burn through em...

Check the Tire Size Calculator in the Library.

That tire is going to be 1" taller than stock. Not only would the speedometer be off but the odometer and gear ratio and anti lock brakes as well. I would not recommend it.
