Default 255's on ap2

i know my rears will wear a lot quicker than the fronts, so i just want to be ready. i've searched plenty into putting 255's out back. i'm not sure if other brand 255's are pretty much the same width as the OE 245's. would also like to know the contact patch of the bridgestones. how would i find the contact patches of other tires? for the guys that have done this, is there any noticeable difference in width when switching to a 255, and does it affect VSA/ABS in any way? thanks!

It would really depend on the individual tire. You would have to look at every tire to check the contact patch. The handling would depend more on the individual tire that you choose. There is not a clear cut answer to your question.
Sorry

So if I was to get Goodyear Eagle f1 gs-d3s for a set of AP2 wheels, what would be the proper size in order to maintain the proper stagger and contact patch comparable to OEM?

215/45R17 and 255/40R17. They would be the closest that Goodyear would have.
If I can help just let me know. They do have a 40.00 mail in rebate on a set of four tires right now.

AFAIK the wheel wells are identical. I'm running 255/40/17 on my stock AP2 rears with no issue. According do the offset guide you can even run a 265, but it would balloon out more than most would prefer.

I'm assuming you're running GS-D3's right?

Also, if you are, what are you running for the front?
