yes stock AP2V1's.

So I should be ok with a 1" drop on 265s?

What do you run in the front?
FWIW I'm running 255/40-17 Star Specs on a 17x9, +63 wheel and it looks big, even a little pinched. Those are beefy tires. Second time around I'm going back to 245's, they're 2# lighter than the 265's you're thinking about and for street driving should still be plenty grippy.

I'm not liking the drag car look in that pic of the 265's on 18's.

Thanks for the reply, I decided to go with 225s front, 255s rear.

I don't want to have to roll the fenders.

Actually, it's an aspect ratio, so a 265/40 tire is taller than a 245/40 tire by 0.6". Don't post "facts" when you don't know what you're talking about.

Just to clear some things up regarding the speedometer/size differences, etc...

If you have an AP1:
On 265/40/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 61.1 mph (1.8% difference).
On 265/35/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 58.7 mph (2.2% difference).

If you have an AP2:
On 265/40/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 61.5 mph (2.5% difference).
On 265/35/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 59.0 mph (1.7% difference).

If you have a 2008 CR:
On 265/40/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 60.8 mph (1.3% difference).
On 265/35/17 when the speedometer reads 60 mph, actual speed is 58.3 mph (2.8% difference).

Keep in mind that a 265 will be 5mm closer to the fender's lip compared to a 255.
So let's say you've rolled your fenders and can perfectly clear a 255/40/17 on a 17x9+45... putting on a 265 would bring the tire a fifth of an inch closer to the fender which depending on the tolerances of your fender roll may be something you need to keep in mind. It'd be like having a 255 on a 17x9+40 or close to the more popular +38.
And if you're running 245's then a 265 would be 10mm (almost half an inch) closer to the fender lip.

Food for thought.
