I'm looking at buying ap2 wheels for my ap1. The only thing that worries me is the tire sizes are 215/275. I'm on stock ride height for now. I'll be adding suspension pss9 most likely. I know they probably wont fit when I get suspension, but will they clear on stock ride height? I am buying these until I can get my RPF1's, when I get the RPF ill be rolling fenders before suspension. Anyway will they fit?

 

you mean 245? cuz you cant even fit a 275 safely on a 8.5" wheel. If you are talking about 245s then they will fit...hell I would recommend 225/45 and 255/40 f/r fitment in that case.

But I am confused...why are you wasting money on ap2 wheels if you want RPF1s?

Idk man, I can't afford the RPF1's right now and it will be a year or so until I can. The tires are 275/40 and IDK why they have that size on them. The price is $540 with new tires. so 275 wouldn't be a good idea? I just cant stand the the AP1 wheels, and my gf needs new tires on her 08 civic so I was just going to throw my AP1 wheels and tires on my her car.

 

Just save up the money and get the wheels you want the first time. All of this buying/swapping out wheels and tires is more pain and hassle than it's worth. You'll also probably lose money by doing it that way.

Others are correct, 275 width tires don't work well on this car. 245 or 255 width in back is generally what you want.

 

on one hand, why not just ask the guy to remove the tires and get some tires that fit a lil bit better if you're really wanting them.

on the other hand, there are people out there that run them. it will handle a bit different with 275's... not so much snap oversteer.. which for the AP1 is a good thing.

all in all, knowing what you want and doing it right the first time is always the best policy.

 

Biggest tire on an ap2 wheel that I've ever seen was a 265...275/40 would be WAY too tall. I'd just put 225/45 and 255/40s on them and call it a day.

My advice...save your money and get exactly what you want the first time around. You're obviously nickel and diming yourself and I speak from experience when I say: You will regret doing it.

 

Guys do run 245/45R17 and 275/40R17 for autocross on the stock wheels. I think for everyday driving they are going to be big. For a strret car with OE wheels I would actually go with 225/45R17 and 255/40R17. These sizes give you the most options front and rear and it is more than enough tire for the car.
