2nd set of rims for winter.
I know winter is ending but I Just bought an ap2 s2000 it will be my daily driver in the snow belt of Ohio. I don't want to have to get tires mounted and balanced twice every year so looking for a second set of rims. I've read a skinnier tire is better for snow. Doesn't really matter what brand of rims I want it to still look nice though. So what rims or sizes i should I look into getting? Thank you!
Cool I will look for some ap1 rims thanks. Mhm I've been thinking about a beater. I could save the money aside from a hardtop + 2nd set rims and buy a decent beater. The threats I've read on here say winter isn't that bad. Says The car is factory undercoated, washing underneath every few days and a cloth or clear bra should do me fine. I do feel bad considering the one I got doesn't even have a rock chip on the hood and said to not have been driven even in the rain, garaged and covered.

Undercoating helps, but salts still getting in all the little places you'll find when you want to do any work on the car. Winter, in general is really hard on vehicles. My first beater was a $500 car. I drove it for 4+ years and then sold it for $700. I had to put tires on it during my ownership and a new radiator hose, but that's not uncommon to any car.
